Social Worker | 9351 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £41,771 per annum | (Grade I/J) | Wymondham, Norfolk

We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers (grade J and above) new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.

For experienced Social Workers new to Norfolk Council we promise to try and match or better your existing salary, providing it’s in the spectrum of the grade advertised.

Who Cares? We do.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced social worker to join the Mental Health Social Care Team, South Norfolk, based at Gateway House, Wymondham. The team consists of qualified Social Workers and Assistant Practitioners, covering South Norfolk. Our team is providing statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 2007 and other relevant legislation, which relate to the social care needs of those with mental health difficulties.

We aim to support service users to achieve recovery-oriented goals assessed under the Care Act, working closely with the Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust in achieving these goals.

You will need to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, be well organised and able to effectively prioritise and risk assess a complex caseload. You will have experience, knowledge and commitment to strength-based assessments.

If you are committed to working to a person-centred way and have the skills to work in a multi-disciplinary setting, in complex situations, we would be interested in hearing from you.

In return we can offer you the opportunity to work in an exciting and challenging area of Social Care, in a supportive team environment and have excellent opportunities for professional development.

Flexibility is built into the way we work, with hybrid working a key feature for many roles. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
