Your Role & Responsibilities:
* Lead or assist with short, simple sessions in your chosen language using songs, rhymes, stories and games suitable for nursery-aged children.
* Support children's exposure to new sounds and words through repetition and fun interaction, always under staff supervision.
* Engage positively with children and model enthusiasm for language learning, helping them feel confident to join in.
* Adapt activities as needed to suit children's developmental stages, additional needs or sensory preferences, with support from nursery staff.
* Prepare and tidy away materials or props used in sessions, ensuring the space remains safe and organised.
* Collaborate with nursery team to ensure your sessions align with nursery routines and the needs of the children.
* Observe and report any safeguarding concerns or a child's behaviour to the Nursery Manager or senior nursery staff without delay.
* Participate in relevant training provided by The Roberts Centre, including safeguarding, supporting children with additional needs and health and safety.
Who We're Looking For:
* Fluency in a non-English language (spoken).
* Interest in language development, early years education and learning through play.
* Ability to deliver playful, engaging activities using your spoken language.
* Confidence to sing, speak and interact with children using a second language.
* Good communication skills and a helpful attitude.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Personable, friendly, approachable and patient.
* Respectful of confidential and sensitive information.
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
* Willingness to learn and attend training as needed.
