Job Purpose:

To undertake a professional service for our clients working on a varied selection of HVAC, M&E and control systems. You will help with the delivery of mechanical work aspects and assist site supervisors to ensure all works are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all our customer/s. Ensuring the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and assist programme efficiently. What you'll do:
1. Attend off-the-job training (e.g., college, technical training provider) as part of your apprenticeship programme.
2. To Carry out installation and remedial works on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within a live Data Centre environment under strict supervision.
3. Ensure good relationships with site supervisors, fellow engineers, other apprentices & customers when conducting works on site.
4. Carry out all mechanical installations or repairs to plant in accordance with manufacturers schedules, EMCOR company standards & client’s requirements with the help of on-site designated mechanical fitters.
5. Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.
6. Ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
7. Work as part of a team to deliver an efficient and effective service to the client, customer and stakeholders
8. Take all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others around you is always considered when working on sites ensuring that other employees, customers or members of the public are not affected by your activities.
9. Carry out such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Line Supervisor and / or other Senior Managers
10. To read, understand & adhere to site RAMS for the work to be carried out & identify hazards to assist in the safe execution of site works.
11. To identify any shortfalls in training with your supervisor and to work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed.
12. Maintain day-to-day contact with the site supervisor and attend meetings as directed.

About the role

What you'll need:
13. GCSE Maths and English held at Grade 4/C or above
14. Interest in Mechanical HVAC Installation
15. Be able to communicate effectively and have flexible approach to work patterns.
16. Have a willingness to train, update and improve themselves for the benefit of the contract
