Job Title: Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a Data Center Technician specialising in Inventory & Asset Logistics Support. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery and tracking of inventory within a dynamic data center environment.
Responsibilities
1. Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
2. Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks without direct supervision.
3. Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries, including purchase order receiving and Rack Movement Supervisor activities.
4. Ensure complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.
5. Conduct inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activities.
6. Manage material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process.
7. Perform destruction of data-bearing devices following all documented procedures.
Essential Skills
8. High School Diploma and 1+ years of experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
9. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
10. Previous data center experience is preferred.
