Are you interested in the link between physical and emotional health? Would you like to work with paediatric patients (from birth to 18 years old) and their families who are finding that their physical health problems are affecting their psychological well‑being? Would you like to be an integral part of growing the Paediatric Psychological Therapies Service within a creative and enthusiastic team who prioritise supporting our staff and their development by providing both individual and group supervision as well as regular team discussions?
We are very excited to invite applications to a permanent Band 7 post in our Paediatric Psychological Therapies team. The post holder would be part of our Paediatric service within the Broomfield and Basildon or Southend hospitals within Mid & South Essex NHS Trust.

You will work across a broad range of paediatric patient groups, such as Neonatal, Type 1 Diabetes and Oncology, working with both inpatients and outpatients and their families. In addition, the post holder will help support staff through reflective practice.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual, who is resilient and flexible and able to meet the challenge of this complex work. We require a fully accredited and qualified candidate who is able to work on their own initiative, as well as in a supportive team with a displayed interest in the link between physical and psychological health.
Interviews will be in two stages to give candidates a clear idea of the post and for us to experience them in both group and individual settings.
