The Governors of Yohden Primary School are looking to successfully appoint a hardworking, organised, reliable and highly effective practitioner to join our staff team in September 2026. You will be working within our newly established enhanced provision. We require for September 2026, a class teacher to join our dedicated, hardworking staff, who puts the needs of our children at the forefront of their practice. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive team and dedicated staff who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude towards our children’s academic, social and personal development. The successful candidate will: • Have recent and relevant training or experience, particularly working with SEND needs. • Be able to consistently meet all teaching standards. • Have recent, effective and successful teaching and learning experience of working with primary aged children. • Have effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. • Work well with others. • Have sustained evidence of good to outstanding practice. • Have high expectations of learning and achievement for all children. • Have a working knowledge and effective understanding of how to sequence and progressively build learning across a series of lessons and within a lesson. • Have full commitment to the importance of using manipulatives to develop children’s secure mathematical knowledge and conceptual understanding • An effective working knowledge, understanding and commitment to the importance of teaching reading • Have high standards of behaviour and a clear ability to effectively use positive behaviour strategies. • Be able to effectively model and extend children’s language and vocabulary. • Have a clear willingness to respond to and act upon advice following constructive, professional dialogue. •Ability to adapt teaching to the needs of all children particularly those with SEND needs and those who are more able. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. This post is not open to job share.
