Role Overview:
This Assistant Management Accountant opportunity is a temporary assignment supporting the finance team through a busy and evolving period. You will contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations while assisting with month end processes and system transition activity. This role would suit a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing transactional accuracy with management accounting support.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant:
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including ledger postings and reconciliations
* Assist with payment runs, purchase ledger processing, VAT returns, and maintaining accurate financial records
* Manage customer invoicing, bank reconciliations, and resolve finance inbox queries professionally
* Provide support during finance system implementation, including user testing and data checks
Requirements of the Assistant Management Accountant:
* Hands-on finance operations experience within a busy finance function
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and reliable financial data
* Confident Excel and finance systems user, comfortable learning new tools quickly
* AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent practical experience
