All About the Role
The purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area. This is a multi-drop role and the hours are Monday to Friday 5.30am – 4.15pm plus overtime when required.
Specific tasks could include:
1. To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
2. Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
3. To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
4. To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
5. Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner.
6. Adhere to all health and safety regulations
7. Be an ambassador for high levels of customer service

All About You
Essential Skills for the role:
14. To hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (with no more than 6 points)
15. Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
16. Knowledge of working time directive
17. Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business – ideal but not necessary
18. Understanding and experience of EHS requirements
19. Multi-Drop experience would be Ideal
