Job Responsibilities
1. Manufacture parts with CNC machines using industry-standard techniques, adhering to quality assurance procedures.
2. Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings, and CAD files.
3. Program new parts and modify existing parts using Mazatrol as needed.
4. Determine work holding, tool holding, and tools required for jobs, working independently or with staff.
5. Assemble tools and toolholders, and set with presetter.
6. Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding devices.
7. Manage tooling and material needs, check inventory, and place orders as necessary.
8. Operate conventional machining equipment as required.
9. Maintain and update manufacturing information per company directives.
10. Ensure safe operations in compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
11. Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repair, and testing to ensure functionality.
12. Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to standards.
13. Arrive on time, work overtime and weekends as needed.
14. Take ownership of work, demonstrate dependability, professionalism, integrity, and initiative.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
1. High school machining program and/or post-secondary technical training preferred.
2. Minimum 1 year experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a prototyping or low-volume environment.
3. Mazak Mazatrol experience is a plus.
4. Ability to independently set up, prove out, and run CNC machines, edit programs, and manufacture fixtures.
5. Qualified with precision measuring instruments.
6. Ability to read drawings and specifications, with knowledge of GD&T.
7. Knowledge of work holding, tool holding, and tooling equipment.
8. Above average math skills.
9. Basic computer skills.
10. Able to lift 50 lbs.
11. Adaptable to change and flexible hours.
12. Strong English communication skills.
13. Able to produce parts accurately and on time.
