DRAINAGE ENGINEER Manchester New year, new job. Are you a Drainage Engineer based in Manchester looking to work on technically varied drainage and flood risk projects while progressing your career within a supportive consultancy? This is an excellent opportunity for a Drainage Engineer who wants design responsibility, flexibility and exposure to a broad range of projects. You will be joining a respected civil and environmental consultancy anchored in the Manchester office, working closely with a local water services team while contributing to projects across the North West and further afield. The role supports public and private sector clients nationwide, delivering drainage and flood risk solutions wherever developments are located. The role As a Drainage Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from concept through to detailed design. Key responsibilities include: * Delivering drainage designs and strategies from inception to detailed design * Designing SuDS, surface water and foul drainage systems * Producing drawings and technical information using AutoCAD and related tools * Supporting planning applications and regulatory approvals * Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients * Mentoring junior staff and sharing technical knowledge within the team About you This role suits a capable Drainage Engineer ready to develop. You will ideally have: * A degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Environmental Science * At least 3 years' experience in drainage design and flood risk work * Experience with SuDS, pumping stations and drainage strategies * Proficiency in AutoCAD, with GIS experience beneficial * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach Eligibility to Apply Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
