Sense is looking for Support Workers to join our service in Exeter, working 37.5 hours per week for £12.25 per hour (inclusive of allowances).
This is a challenging role, but incredibly rewarding. You will be part of an award-winning team, providing outstanding care and support. We will support you both personally and professionally to develop the skills, knowledge, and experience to support individuals with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, communication difficulties, and behaviours that challenge.
The individuals we support are unique in their needs, wants, and wishes, and you will have fun supporting them in various interests, from sports activities and events to musicals, operas, festivals, celebrating special events, and connecting with the community.
This role operates on a rolling 4-week rota, with day and afternoon shifts, including every other weekend.
We’re looking for enthusiastic applicants who are:
* Positive, with a can-do attitude.
* Caring and empathetic.
* Passionate about enhancing others’ lives.
* Willing to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in health and social care or equivalent (or already have one).
* Have some experience with adults with learning disabilities, deafblindness, and behaviours that challenge.
* May have some BSL skills.
A full UK Driver's License is desirable for this role.

* Personal care and hygiene.
* Finances.
* Medication and wellbeing.
* Working.
* Going into the community for shopping or trips.
* Their social life and nightlife.
