Job Summary
The role will provide a specialist Paramedic resource for Health Care Professionals and service users, working in collaboration with other members of the Primary Care Network (PCN) Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). You will be required to work in all GP Practices within the PCN. This autonomous, accountable Paramedic role delivers a holistic approach for individuals, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver quality patient services.
Main Duties
* Assess and triage patients, including same‑day triage, and provide definitive treatment or referral to other PCN members or practice team as appropriate.
* Advise patients on general healthcare and promote self‑management where appropriate, including signposting to community or voluntary services and self‑care pathways.
About Us
Coventry Navigation 1 PCN consists of 9 GP Practices covering approximately 60,000 patients. The network operates within the city of Coventry. The successful candidate will join the Navigation 1 PCN Team and will be supported by a Senior Team with regular development sessions, teaching, training and opportunities to upskill.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide assessment, diagnosis and treatment at first point of contact by attending to patients in practice sites or at patients’ homes.
* Act as an autonomous clinician with the support and guidance from GPs.
* Diagnose and manage acute conditions, integrating drug and non‑drug treatments into a management plan.
* Accurately triage and prioritise patients, including in emergency situations.
* Recognise, assess and refer patients presenting with mental health needs.
* Provide telephone triage where appropriate for clinics and home visits and facilitate access to GPs.
* Evaluate clinical information from examination and history taking and initiate appropriate treatment or referral, including admission to hospital where required.
