Behaviour Support Assistant – Eastbourne
Pay: £13.70–£15.00 per hour
Hours: Term-time, 8:30am–3:30pm (flexible hours may be considered)
Contract: Permanent / Fixed-term (depending on school needs)

A primary school in Eastbourne, East Sussex is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to provide vital pastoral support to pupils, helping them overcome behavioural barriers and fully engage in learning.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group behaviour support to pupils
Implement behaviour plans and support strategies
Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive coping skills
Support children who may display challenging behaviour
Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies
Monitor, record, and report on behaviour and progress
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Skills & Requirements:
Experience working with children in a school or behaviour support setting
Strong behaviour management skills
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Relevant training in behaviour support, SEN, or childcare is desirable but not essential
