Site civil engineer

Job Description

Scottish Power Transmissions are looking for a Site Civil Engineer to join their EGL1 project, based in Torness.

Role: Site Civil Engineer

Business: Scottish Power Transmissions - EGL1

Location: Torness Site, EH42 1SW (3/4 days per week on site)

Duration: 12 month initial contract with renewal in line with the project

Rate: Inside IR35, Umbrella and PAYE options available


Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong site experience and a solid understanding of groundworks and geotechnical engineering. You'll be involved in, supervising, interpreting and optimising works related to ground improvement, piling, retaining walls and civil construction. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic fast paced site environment, and be able to work collaboratively and strategically to deliver scope in optimal time.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Support technical review of all Civil, Structural & Building Engineering documentation, drawings & works
2. Support commercial reviews of Variation Order & Milestone Payments for all Civil, Structural & Building Engineering Works
3. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with works information, civil design and specifications
