Rocksteady Care provides a therapeutic, safe and nurturing home for young people who are between 8 and 17 years of age, are in care and can't live with a family.
We accommodate up to a maximum of 4 young people at a time, placements may be of any length. Our staff team is there 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
We support young people who:
Have had a breakdown in relationships at home or in foster care
Are in care and need to prepare for living independently
Need support with emotional or behavioral problems
We also look after young people who are vulnerable or volatile and whose behavior can be challenging. We make sure they have a framework of care, support and education that keeps them safe, gives them a chance to mature and take steps to achieve their future aims and ambitions.

Job description
As Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for helping the Registered Manager run the home, providing day to day care for our young people, supporting them in activities, education and statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. Working as a team, you will ensure the home is kept to a good standard in all aspects of house-keeping. Also ensuring everyone feels valued and respected.
Experience of working within a Residential Childcare setting or working with young people with challenging behavior is essential. All staff undertake relevant training to support with their progression within the business. A key aspect of the role is being able to think on your feet and be adaptable to different situations as they arise. When working in a children's home no two days are ever the same.
The successful candidate will ideally need to hold a driving license.
This role is to start as soon as possible.
This role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Sunday with an on call responsibility however there may be times when you will be required to work evening and weekend shifts when the need arises.
