PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Markets and sells lubrication products and related merchandise and services to new and existing patrons and prospects. Responsible for lubrication product delivery and account maintenance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniques, including the FS sales interview road map, emphasizing features and benefits, and contact management systems when calling on patrons and prospects.
Responsible for meeting sales goals as set by the supervisor, and generating profitable market share growth in the assigned territory.
Adheres to GROWMARK’s sales and marketing strategies and attends sales training sessions as offered.
Markets and delivers lubrication products using an efficient route delivery system.
Provides value-added lubrication products, services, and recommendations to patrons and prospects.
Collaborates with other sales staff to increase lubricant sales and maintain customer satisfaction.
Develops and maintains records of company and customer-owned tanks and equipment.
Installs and maintains customer and company bulk lubricant systems, obtaining signed lease agreements at the time of installation.
Ensures accurate communication regarding inventory management and billing.
Follows company credit policies.
Maintains department equipment and vehicles for safety and proper operation.
Works with Microsoft Office programs.
May assist other departments during peak seasons.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety policies, OSHA, and DOT standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or business, or equivalent, and 1-2 years of sales experience to demonstrate reasoning, technical aptitude, and customer handling skills.
Must demonstrate business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
Ability to achieve and maintain Energy Advisor (EA) and/or Energy Marketing Specialist (EMS) Certification.
Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with safety precautions.
Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and obtain Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
Frequently lift 51 to 70 lbs.
Must be able to travel independently and overnight.
Willing to work beyond normal hours and participate in training related to policies and position requirements.
