Description
This role represents an excellent opportunity for a Technical Engineer who is looking to establish a career in a fast growing, award-winning, global semiconductor company with a clearly defined career development path.
Joining the multi-disciplined team, you will provide hardware maintenance support working on a variety of process module types to ensure we continue to achieve our exacting standards. This role will involve the maintenance and preparation of Lab equipment for the running of Customer Samples and R&D projects for our Deposition Business Unit.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
Demo Lab Equipment
1. Maintaining the Demo lab equipment and configuring the modules to the requested Customer demo configuration.
2. Planning and organising necessary parts to perform the required configuration
3. Supporting R&D Engineers for new part introductions
4. Troubleshooting activities on a priority basis
5. Assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab
6. Provide Breathing Apparatus (BA) / Emergency Response Team (ERT) support
Safety
7. Follow safe operating practices in the clean room
8. Being part of the Technician team, sharing responsibility for planning and executing safe work plans on complex systems containing a variety of energy sources and toxic gases, together with the relevant risk assessments as required.
9. Contributing to the continual improvement of our already excellent safety record
Documentation
10. Maintenance records, maintaining an accurate parts inventory and the ability to communicate clearly to a variety of stakeholders at all levels will be essential.
11. Implementing service and safety bulletins, procedures, reports and engineering drawings.

12. Is a multi-skilled Engineer with a good understanding of Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical systems
13. Is hands on and capable of evaluating and fault finding
14. Has experience of gas systems
15. Has demonstrated safe working practices due to working in an exacting environment where safe working practices are critical
16. Is experienced in following operating practices and procedures
17. Is willing to undertake Breathing Apparatus training and be part of the site Emergency Response Team
18. Can work to tight deadlines in a highly regulated industry
19. Knowledge of similar semiconductor equipment would be an advantage, as would prior experience of electronic fault finding, RF test equipment and/or high Vacuum systems.
