Job Summary
Are you passionate about the care of patients with spinal deformities? Do you have experience working with adults, children and young people? Have you had experience developing services and participating in research? An exciting 12‑month secondment awaits within our spinal deformity service, working alongside senior clinicians, a multidisciplinary team and a clinical nurse specialist.
Main Duties
* Deliver an expert nursing service within spinal deformity, managing your own caseload.
* Provide patient and family education, facilitating informed choice about care.
* Support nurse‑led clinics, pre‑assessment of children prior to surgery and ward rounds in both adult and paediatric settings.
* Order and follow up tests and diagnostics within your scope of practice, coordinating with administrative and consultant teams.
* Present cases at multi‑disciplinary meetings, offer specialist education to staff and families, and network with community services for discharge planning.

Person Specification
Essential
* NMC Registered level 1 adult or level 1 child nurse.
* Degree level study.
* Health / physical assessment competence.
* Relevant experience within the clinical speciality.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Experience delivering education to patients and/or staff.
Desirable
* Evident of higher level study (e.g., MSc).
* Experience of research and audit.
* Experience of service development.
