Role Purpose Overseeing all aspects of Hochiki Europe distribution and Logistics operations. Ensuring the efficient, productive and timely movement of goods from our distribution centre to customers, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Who you’ll report to Director of Manufacturing Who you’ll be responsible for Warehouse Team Leaders and Operatives Inventory Analyst What you’ll be doing: Ensuring Health and Safety processes are followed and that all team members observe and have a full understanding of H&S and environmental rules, regulations, and departmental expectations. Lead, coach, support and develop a high-performing team of Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives. Dealing with staffing matters which occur within the team and escalating any issues as applicable. Managing training, performance and development for the team. Creating a clear vision of staffing and resource requirements including shift patterns to best support the business as it continues to grow. Develop and implement effective distribution and logistics strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer demands. Oversee inventory levels, demand forecasting, and replenishment processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Working closely with other departments associated with the operation of the warehouse, particularly planning and supply chain teams. Warehouse CI (continuous improvement) and KPI (key performance indicator) management. Including risk identification, management, and mitigation. Driving improvement initiatives to increase productivity, efficiency to improve on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, quality, and continual cost reduction. Manage the completion of cycle counting activities and ensure all monthly/annual figures are produced. Competent use of all electronic system associated with the business. Taking complete ownership of the warehouse storage and material movement strategy. Accountable for the warehouse layout to ensure picking efficiency, flow of materials and visual control. Reporting on space utilisation/storage type occupancy, costs and productivity. To lead and participate as necessary to achieve the company goals and objectives.
