Duties
Flynn’s Delicatessen are looking for a Bakery & Deli Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level role for someone who is interested in food, baking, hospitality and working in a busy independent deli environment.
The role will support our in-house bakery production, including breads, bagels, brioche, cakes and other deli products, while also helping with deli counter and customer service duties during service.
Duties will include preparing ingredients, helping with daily baking, following recipes and batch records, keeping the bakery and kitchen areas clean and organised, supporting stock rotation, helping prepare products for service and retail, serving customers, taking orders, assisting with the deli counter, and helping maintain a warm, welcoming and professional customer experience.

Training and Development
This role will be supported by a formal Apprenticeship programme, providing structured training alongside practical experience. There will be opportunities to develop skills across bakery, deli retail, hospitality and food service, take on more responsibility, progress within the business and potentially expand hours as the role grows.

Qualifications
The right attitude and genuine interest to learn about food is the most important qualification.This would suit someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, practical and keen to learn. Previous bakery, kitchen or customer service experience is not essential, as training will be provided, but the right attitude and a genuine interest in food are important.
