Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

About the Role:
Working as part of a busy finance team, you will be responsible for key accounting tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting a new challenge in their finance career, with a new accounts system being introduced, it is a really exciting time to join the business. In this role, no two days will be the same and your contribution will really make a difference to the team and wider business.
What the Accounts Assistant role with involve:
Validating purchase ledger invoices, posting them into company accounts system.
Coding purchase ledger transactions, dealing with additional accounting treatment required.
Liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues to resolve queries professionally and efficiently.
What you’ll bring:
Previous experience in an accounts department.
A keen eye for detail and be comfortable working with numbers.
A positive attitude and a passion for accounts.
The ability to work collaboratively and strong communication skills.
