Job Description
An established law firm in Macclesfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wills and Probate Fee Earner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a strong background in Wills and Probate to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle a diverse caseload involving the drafting of Wills, Powers of Attorney, and managing estate administrations.
* Manage Court of Protection applications, ensuring that vulnerable clients’ best interests are represented and protected. Provide expert guidance on complex issues, including managing finances and welfare decisions for those lacking mental capacity.
* Advise clients on inheritance tax matters, including planning strategies to minimise tax liabilities. You will need a strong understanding of current inheritance tax laws and regulations.
* Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of all relevant processes, ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm policies. Your role will involve keeping abreast of any legal changes and ensuring that best practices are always followed.
* Participate in business development and marketing activities to grow the firm's client base. This may involve attending networking events, delivering presentations, or contributing to marketing materials.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2-3 years PQE.
* Proven experience in Wills, Powers of Attorney, estate administration, and Court of Protection applications.
* Strong knowledge of inheritance tax and compliance requirements.
* Experience with business development and marketing activities.
