Working within a professional, fully equipped workshop environment, you will perform comprehensive servicing, maintenance, inspection, and repair work on HGV trucks and trailersprimarily Volvo, Scania, and DAF models. Reporting to the Lead Mechanic and collaborating with an experienced workshop team, you will ensure that all vehicles remain roadworthy, compliant with safety regulations, and ready for operation. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGV trucks and trailers to manufacturer specifications Conduct comprehensive fault-finding and diagnostics using both mechanical and electrical testing methods Repair and replace worn, damaged, or faulty components to restore vehicles to safe working condition Inspect vehicles to verify compliance with road safety standards and regulatory requirements Complete job cards, maintenance records, and technical documentation accurately and thoroughly Work collaboratively with the workshop team while demonstrating the ability to manage tasks independently Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment Candidate Profile We are looking for an experienced, qualified HGV Mechanic with a strong technical foundation and a genuine passion for vehicle maintenance.
