*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of residential and commercial buildings. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights.
The ideal applicant will have solid experience in roofing and construction, demonstrate high-quality workmanship, and be dependable and hardworking.
*Duties & Responsibilities*
* Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques in compliance with safety standards and building codes
* Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components
* Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
* Perform metal roofing and flashing work (welding experience advantageous)
* Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, and metal sheets
* Assist with related construction tasks including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication when required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite
* Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule
*Requirements & Experience*
* Proven experience in roofing and/or construction
* Strong knowledge of roofing systems and installation techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
* Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures, especially when working at heights
* Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
* Experience in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or welding is advantageous but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
*Licence & Transport Requirements*
* Must hold a valid driver’s licence
* Candidates located in Penrith may be provided transportation to job sites
* Applicants living outside Penrith must have reliable transportation and be able to drive to various job locations
* White Card required (or willingness to obtain)
