We are now looking for a motivated and experienced Route Planner, Supervisor to join our Midlands depot team and lead our night operations. Role Description
The Night Transport Planning Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lichfield. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee night transport operations to ensure timely and cost-effective scheduling of deliveries. Responsibilities include creating operational plans and route planning around 15 vehicles per evening with routes in the local DE and WS area, between Vans, Rigids, and Artics, managing resources, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires maintaining clear communication with drivers and external stakeholders to meet customer needs and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
* Strong Analytical Skills and Planning capabilities to develop effective transportation schedules and improve operational efficiency.
* Experience in Delivery Route Planning, to oversee resources and ensure seamless workflows.
* Excellent Communication skills to liaise with drivers, teams, customers, and other stakeholders effectively.
* Proven organizational and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and compliance standards.
* Understanding of transport industry software and knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to logistics and freight.
* Ability to work night shifts and independently manage time-sensitive operations.Previous experience in logistics, transport planning, or a similar role is desirable.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
