Stress Engineer Filton, Bristol (Hybrid – 60% minimum onsite) Rate: Negotiable Contract until 31st December 2025 (likely to extend) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Engineer to join a well-established aerospace engineering team, supporting structural analysis and modifications across a broad portfolio of aircraft wing platforms — including single aisle and widebody variants. This role is best suited to someone with deep domain knowledge of F&DT, ideally with prior experience working to OEM standards and tooling, and preferably already holding or working toward approver status. What You’ll Be Doing: Approve (or contribute to) F&DT deliverables, ensuring airworthiness compliance. Lead problem-solving activities across structural issues using analytical methods and sound engineering judgment. Work across a range of projects, including product modifications, cost-saving initiatives, and continued airworthiness assessments. Mentor and support junior engineers, both technically and behaviourally. Influence continuous improvement in methods, tools, and ways of working.What We’re Looking For: Strong background in aircraft structural analysis, with a focus on fatigue and damage tolerance.
