Contract Manager Experience Contract management in Civil projects. Managing project/site programme and progress City Across Hants area As a Contract Manager your role will include but not limited to the following; Ensuring the management of subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with the company procedures Ensure forecasts are reflective of the current scope of work and the agreed programme to deliver this. Produce monthly reports which highlight areas of risk and opportunity and changes in the period in liaison with the Senior QS (Quantity Surveyor), Site QS and Project/Site Manager. Ensure that where change occurs the quotation for the change/additional works is fully reviewed and captures all reasonably foreseeable activities and risks. That the impact of the change is shown on the contract programme. Manage traditional, design & build or target cost contracts from initial tender/ target agreement through to final account agreement. Ensure production, review, and monitor the delivery of the project/site health, safety, environment & quality plans. Review and ensure the relevant company procedures are complied with. Ensure all HSE (Health and Safety Executive) legislation and rules are followed. Build and maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure retention of contract & future opportunities. Build and maintain a motivated project/site team, which will include suppliers and sub-contractors Develop effective relationships with the clients to maximise the perception & reputation of the business and secure profitable work. Establish & actively promote working relationships between all departments, through effective communication & ensuring Company procedures are followed. Assist Estimating/Marketing departments with tender quality submissions & PQQ. Taking responsibility for a contract at handover from the estimator Provide ECI/PSC advice to clients through budget setting & detailed design. Plan & monitor resource requirements on contracts & liaise with other contracts managers with regards to reallocation of labour & plant. Liaise with site management teams to ensure accurate & timely production of weekly & monthly site returns on all contracts. Liaise with site management teams to ensure effective utilization of plant and labour on site. Monitor plant and labour use against Forecast Plan. Support site teams and take ownership of projects to ensure delegated workloads & contract objectives are achieved. Ensure the production of fully resourced contract programmes. Monitor progress and assist with change management and challenges arising to ensure the most successful outcome for the project. Manage all site personnel, dealing with performance issues & training needs in accordance with the company HR (Human Resources) procedures. Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement and use of best practice. Monitor the morale & motivation of the team. Communicate the company objectives & maintain regular information sharing relevant to the team. Being the first point of reference for leadership site issues, engage team members in resolving issues. Monitor performance standards & manage expectations. Manage rewards, awards, grievance & disciplinary matters. Define changing skill requirements for the team, recruit, coach & mentor to enhance knowledge, skills & behaviours.
