Job Description
9 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• Temporary Income Officer role covering maternity leave for approximately 40 weeks.
The position is part-time (18.5 hours per week) and involves supporting housing services by managing income-related activities and contributing to effective housing service delivery.

Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Manage and process housing income, including rent payments and arrears.
• Maintain accurate records and financial data relating to tenant accounts.
• Liaise with tenants regarding payments, agreements, and arrears recovery.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
• Support the Housing Services team with general administrative tasks as required.
• Adhere to relevant housing policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
• Work collaboratively within a job-share arrangement to ensure continuity of service.

Skills/Experience:
• Proven experience in income management, rent collection, or a similar housing-related financial role.
• Strong knowledge of housing services and tenant income processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with tenants and colleagues.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, especially within a job-share setup.
• Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.

Additional Information:
• The closing date: 06/10/2025.
• Part-time role – 18 hours/week.
