As of 1st January 2025, the following staff members have been promoted to Managers or Assistant Managers.
Emma Stuart
Emma Stuart has been promoted from Assistant Audit Manager to Audit Manager.
Emma graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2019 studying Accounting and Financial Management. After she graduated, Emma joined Hawsons in January 2020 on our graduate scheme qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2023 and becoming an Audit Senior.
In 2024, Emma was promoted to an Assistant Audit Manager before being promoted to an Audit Manager in 2025. During her time at Hawsons, Emma has gained a range of experience providing audit, accountancy, and tax services. She has worked with a wide range of clients across industries such as manufacturing and retail.
Emma has also been involved in some of the firm’s charitable work, including playing a key role in the Master Cutler Challenge in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Audit Manager, Sheffield
George Baker
George Baker has been promoted from Audit Senior to Assistant Audit Manager.
Prior to joining Hawsons, George studied Economics and Finance at Newcastle University and completed his degree in 2019. In September 2019, George joined Hawsons on our graduate scheme qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2022 and becoming an Audit Senior.
In 2025, George was promoted to Assistant Audit Manager. During his time at Hawsons, George has worked in audits for a wide range of clients from small charities to large corporate groups.
Jeanette Roney
Jeanette Roney has been promoted from Business Services Senior to Assistant Business Services Manager.
Jeanette started her accounting career in 1998 and worked for two local Doncaster firms. In the early 2000’s, Jeanette passed her Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. In 2006, Jeanette moved to a regional accountancy practice based in South Yorkshire where she developed her accounts skills and started overseeing staff training, deadlines and reviewing accounts.
Jeanette joined Hawsons in 2023 as a Business Services Senior, during her time at Hawsons she has gained experience Reviewing Accounting Systems as well as Forensic Accounting. In 2025, Jeanette was promoted to an Assistant Business Services Manager.

Lewis Sansome
Lewis Sansome has been promoted from Audit Senior to Assistant Audit Manager.
Lewis graduated from York St John University in 2017 studying Accounting & Finance. After he graduated, Lewis joined a regional accountancy practice in Yorkshire as an Audit & Accounts Assistant.
In November 2020, Lewis joined Hawsons as an Audit Junior and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in December 2022, becoming an Audit Senior. In 2025, Lewis was promoted to an Assistant Audit Manager. During his time at Hawsons, Lewis has worked with a wide range of small to large companies in a variety of industries.
