HGV Class 2 Driver – Trafford Park, Manchester
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver, offering excellent rates of pay, a temp-to-perm pathway, and genuine room to grow and progress.
The HGV Class 2 Driver will be responsible for completing 10–15 drops per day and will be required to complete one night out per week. This is a temp-to-perm role, with a permanent contract offered after 12 weeks.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday• 06:30 – 17:00
Rates of Pay
• £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
• Delivering palletised stock• Operating and driving HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently• Completing 10–15 drops per day• Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured• Adhering to road traffic laws and transport regulations• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements• Assisting with loading and unloading where required
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence (held for a minimum of 2 years)• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• No more than six penalty points for minor offences• Good spoken and written English• Strong punctuality and time-keeping skills• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations• Ability to work effectively as part of a team• Professional communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training Provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
