Position:

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals for the posts of Clerical Officer in the Medical Imaging Departments.


Hours:

From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.

Part time 30 hours per week, shifts are worked over 7 days, shift times are 0745-1845 and 0900-2000, with 3 shifts worked each week.

This post is offered on a permanent basis.


UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Full UK driving licence is essential to this role. Own transport is essential due to the late start times of public transport, particularly on Sundays.


What you will do:

Duties will include inputting data, preparing incoming and outgoing mail etc. Sending out appointments while adhering to waiting time targets and dealing with patient telephone calls. The main booking office is located at University Hospital Crosshouse and a rota is in place for staff to move between sites to cover reception duties.

Excellent computer skills and customer care is essential as is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. SVQ level II Admin required.
