Great opportunity to join a manufacturing business that a track record of manufacturing interesting products that resonate with the consumer. The business is keen to appoint a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias ideally) to join the Engineering Team and work across the full scope of production facilities on site.
The Role
* Shift pattern Monday to Friday 6-2, 2-10;
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance, liaising with the production department;
* Ensure that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime;
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and conduct routine and condition-based maintenance;
* Diagnose faults and research solutions to stop re-occurring breakdowns;
* Establish different maintenance procedures and protocols;
* Conduct and oversee maintenance process audits;
* Assist with the implementation of robust Engineering systems;
* Work closely with all departments: Operations, Manufacturing, Quality/Technical, Supply Chain;
* Work with the production team to improve production flow, throughput and productivity on a variety of products and manufacturing processes;
* Liaise with Engineering suppliers to ensure timely and cost-efficient solutions to parts ordering, spares holding and service contract support.
The Person
* Experienced with automated factory and planned maintenance systems;
* Ideally possess previous Maintenance Engineering experience gained from within a fast moving manufacturing environment;
* Have the ability to work well within a team and independently;
* To be a proactive problem-solver with excellent attention to detail;
* Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile;
* Educated to ONC/HNC level (Mechanical or Electrical);
* Competent in a variety of engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Plant);
* Able to work at pace and possess the passion and determination to improve the Engineering function, always looking for better.
This role is commutable from Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset and more specifically, commutable from: Yeovil, Sherborne, Ilchester, Langport, Crewkerne, Chard, Wincanton, Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury, Bruton, Blandford Forum, Evercreech, Street, Gillingham, Shaftsbury.
Salary: £48,000 pa - £52,000 pa + 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Company Bonus Ref 3577
