Materials Analysis is an Oxford Instruments Business Unit that manages our Electron Microscopy and Mechanical Microscopy products, Atomic Force Microscopes, Raman Microscopes and Benchtop NMR Products. Overview

We are seeking an Exporter to join our operations team. The primary purpose of this role is to work closely with the Senior exporter and shipping agents, OI subsidiaries and other external and internal contacts to ensure customer orders are shipped promptly and correctly.


Responsibilities

* Ensure there is open communication between the customer and OI and that the customer is kept up to date and provided with all necessary information to enable successful shipping and receipt of products.
* Actively explore and find ways to meet the requirements of the customer and in doing so improve and maintain good customer relations.
* Maintain an excellent knowledge of all Inco Terms.
* Keep an updated certificate on dangerous goods shipments.
* Act as the customer’s representative within OI, seeing issues from the customer’s perspective and representing the customer’s point of view.
* Ensure all export and NLR letters are confirmed and that WMD and products are ready to ship to the customer.
* Prepare all required documentation to enable delivery in the UK and worldwide of company products, including invoices, packing lists, EUR1, ATR1, Certificate of Origins, consignment notes and any other documents relating to Letters of Credit or Customs requirements.
* Support and inform management of any issues impacting customer delivery and satisfaction and suggest and implement solutions and improvements.
* Handle Letters of Credit shipments and liaise with customers and chase payments.
* Update weekly list on credit holds and liaise with accounts.


Qualifications & Requirements

* You have experience of providing a customer-focused, high quality shipping administration service.
* You’re familiar with export documentation and procedures, Letters of Credit and IATA, Dangerous Goods regulations and understand the business implications if these are not adhered to.
* Able to keep on top of changing legislation in the shipping environment to ensure compliance with Customs and regulations.
* You understand export documentation and procedures.
