PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
We are looking for an innovative and passionate Reservations & Revenue Manager to join our team at the award-winning Titanic Hotel Belfast. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Reservations Department, driving revenue, achieving targets and ensuring our guests receive excellent customer service. Titanic Hotel Belfast is a 119-bedroom property based in Titanic Quarter, Belfast. Titanic Hotel Belfast has been named Northern Ireland’s Leading Hotel at The World Travel Awards for five consecutive years.
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for managing the day-to-day management of the Reservations Department and team including assisting with calls and emails when required.
· To ensure all reservations enquiries and bookings are handled in a prompt and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service to our guests.
· Responsible for the day-to-day management of revenue of the hotel and the Reservations Team at Titanic Hotel Belfast.
· Assist the Cluster Revenue Manager with revenue management strategy and distribution channels of the hotel, including the management of day by day yielding and rate strategy.
· Review & report on daily, weekly, and monthly pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting to Cluster Revenue Manager.
· Perform competitive research reports.
· Keep up to date with changing market trends and 3rd party activities. Manage relationships and oversee strategy for all 3rd party distribution channels.
· Assist the Sales & Marketing Department in creating and developing strategies across all segments, including an annual business plan for the hotel.
· Assist Director of Sales & Marketing and Cluster Revenue Manager in preparing annual budget for the hotel and updated forecasts throughout the year.
· Analyse, assess and price group business, working with the Cluster Revenue Manager, Sales, and marketing teams to convert business.
· Prepare weekly and monthly reports reviewing KPI inclusive of room’s revenue segmentation, source, nationality performance and any commentary with recommendations for the future.
· Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity, including the hotel booking engine.
· Carrying out all tasks in accordance with procedures as outlined in the Reservations Standards Operating Procedures.
· Ensure hotel personnel are fully competent in the use of our PMS and other reservations/revenue systems.
· Identify areas of opportunity and recommend/execute corrective action.
· Ensure effective communication with other departments within the hotel.
· Maintain all hotel standards, comply with employee handbook guidelines, also protecting and enhancing the assets of the hotel.
· Any other reports or duties as may be requested by Management.
