A) Style Match (Reference-Inspired)
The editor/creator should replicate the feel and production language of the reference video, including:
Long-form immersive storytelling presentation
Cinematic/atmospheric pacing
Visual continuity across a long runtime
Fantasy / documentary / lore-style tone (adapted to the new topic)
Gentle but polished movement to avoid static visuals for extended segments
Important: This is a style reference, not a direct copy. The final piece should be original and tailored to the supplied topic/script.
B) Visual Design & Motion
The video should include a strong mix of:
Animated stills / parallax movement
Layered scenes (foreground/midground/background)
Subtle environmental motion (e.g. smoke, embers, fog, particles, light flicker, drifting dust, rain, etc., where appropriate to topic)
Text overlays / chapter cards / on-screen labels (if needed)
Scene transitions between sections
Camera moves (slow push-ins, pans, zooms, drift)
Motion graphics to maintain engagement over long duration
Animation Expectations
No long stretches of completely static imagery
Movement should be smooth, subtle, and atmospheric, not overdone
Transitions should feel intentional and cinematic, not template-heavy
C) Scene Structure & Coverage
The editor should:
Break the script into scenes/sequences for visual storytelling
Build visual coverage that supports the script throughout the full runtime
Use a mix of:
Background environments
Character/topic imagery
Maps/diagrams/timelines (if relevant)
Symbolic/illustrative cutaways
Section title cards / chapter transitions
D) Audio Integration
If the freelancer is handling audio finishing, include:
Voiceover sync to supplied narration (or timing to supplied VO)
Background ambience/music (licensed/royalty-free)
Light sound design for transitions and atmosphere
Audio balancing / clean levels
Basic mastering for YouTube playback
If VO/music/SFX will be supplied by client, editor should still handle timing, layering, and mix balance.
