LOCATION: THE HOWARD CENTRE
CONTRACT: Full Time, 42 hours per week
SHIFT PATTERN: 4 days on 4 days off (0700-1900)
PAY RATE: £ per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As the Soft Services Supervisor you will be required to manage the delivery of the security & cleaning contracts to the standards required of ABM. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site management centre, all public areas including associated service yards, roads, loading bays, common areas and back of house areas are fully secured, safe and cleaned to a level of service which exceeds the client’s expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Site Management in operational HR responsibilities to recruit, retain and develop the security team.
• Manage staff attendance & absence records in conjunction with company policies and procedures.
• Set objectives for direct reports as per company procedure. Ensure the same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
• Carry out audits to ensure high standards of cleanliness and a safe/secure environment is evident throughout the estate at all times
• Manage training, developing, and retraining of staff, to include customer service training
• Conduct quality audits to ensure service delivery adheres to the requirements of ISO9001 and exceeds client requirements
• Prioritize all incidents ensuring all key personnel are kept fully informed
• Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
• Deliver excellent communications and motivation for all direct reports.
• Deliver to all new starters a formal induction and site-specific training.
• Ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as per company policy.
• Identify training needs and ensure accurate site records are always maintained.
• Support the Site Management to ensure the necessary security audits are undertaken and any noncompliance highlighted and managed to completion.
• To manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers, and other partners.
• To readily interact with all visitors/tenants within the Estate, delivering first class customer focused service.
• Be professional, pleasant, friendly, courteous, and helpful always whilst carrying out duties to the highest standard.
• To ensure exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the site uniform requirements.
• To deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies including but not only, fire and bomb scares ensuring the Centre Team are kept fully informed.
• Aid third party contractors/visitors ensuring all site procedures/policies are adhered to.
• Complete Training Courses as provided by the company on the ABM University Portal and any other Core Training required for the role.
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
• Other day-to-day responsibilities as dictated by circumstances and the needs of the business and client
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor & CCTV License a must
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance priorities and workloads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Adaptable and flexible in approach to work required.
• Willingness and ability to work as a member of a team.
• Report writing/Presentation skills.
• Excellent observational skills.
• IOSH Manage Safely Preferred
• Cleaning Background
