Elevation Recruitment Group is supporting a well-established, privately-owned manufacturing business on the outskirts of Chesterfield / Mansfield as they look to appoint a HR Advisor on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a fully generalist role which plays a pivotal role in supporting in the day to day running of the HR function of this highly successful business.You’ll be a visible and accessible presence on site – supporting managers, reinforcing process, and playing a key part in helping the business maintain a positive and high- performing working culture. Key Responsibilities as a HR Advisor include:
* Provide first-line HR support across the site, particularly for shift managers and team leaders
* Manage employee relations issues (disciplinary, grievance, investigations) from end to end
* Support absence, return-to-work, and performance-related casework
* Ensure consistent application of HR policy and process
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding and probation tracking
* Maintain accurate HR records, including attendance and payroll-related data
* Contribute to training plans, engagement activity and retention initiatives
* Work with H&S and Ops to maintain high standards across site policies and compliance
* Support delivery of site-wide people initiatives and CI projects
The Ideal Candidate
* Experienced HR Advisor with a strong generalist background in manufacturing or similar
* Comfortable working in a shift-based environment with frontline teams
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and confident managing ER casework
* Resilient, pragmatic and able to influence managers at all levels
* Approachable, visible and comfortable working on the shop floor
