We're looking for an Interim Economic Development Manager to join our local authority team in the North West. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and other key economic growth projects.
If you have a strong background in economic development, particularly in local authority settings, and are ready to make an immediate impact, this role could be for you.
What You'll Do:
Lead and deliver key economic development projects, focusing on UKSPF and other funding initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders - including local government, businesses, and regional partners - to drive economic regeneration.
Provide expert advice on policy and funding strategies.
Monitor and report on the performance of economic development programmes.
Ensure projects are compliant, on-budget, and contribute to long-term economic goals.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Previous work within local authorities and hands-on involvement in economic development projects.
Funding Knowledge: Familiarity with funding schemes such as UKSPF and other regeneration programmes.
Project Management: Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects effectively. Prince II or other relevant qualifications is preferred but not essential
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse partners.
