This is key to enabling us to deliver on the promises we\\\'ve made to the people of Wales to build a sustainable transport network that meets their needs.Role responsibilities The Project Manager will be the lead person within TfW for the management and delivery of their allocated projects across the Wales and Borders network. Projects will be focused on station, depot or rolling stock integration infrastructure. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of the works from scoping through to tender award, work completion and handover. Ensure effective project planning, control and monitoring is in place, working in accordance with the TfW Project Management Methodology. Be responsible for the interface within Transport for Wales, Welsh Government (WG), Network Rail, Amey Infrastructure Wales, Department for Transport, local authorities and internal and external stakeholders concerning Infrastructure projects. Track project progress against key milestones and delivery dates, identifying and mitigating risks, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering timely updates to stakeholders to ensure all projects are delivered on schedule and fully meet their defined obligations. Work with the Commercial team to track expenditure and Anticipated Final Costs (AFC) against the NEC contract by closely monitoring spend profiles, implementing change control, and managing compensation events to ensure projects are delivered within budget and achieve optimal value for money. Ensure all works are planned and delivered in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and TfW company procedures to make sure that a safe working environment is provided for the execution of the work. Who we\\\'re looking for Demonstrable experience of successfully developing and delivering projects of significant value and complexity in a railway environment across stations, depot and rolling stock infrastructure projects. Hold a project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 Demonstrable experience of managing a budget, including forecasting and monitoring spend. Knowledge of relevant Health, safety and environmental legislation Experience of managing NEC contracts Welsh Language Skills The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
