This long-term role is ideal for an engineer with proven experience in deep drainage and heavy civils works, looking to work on a high-profile, complex infrastructure scheme.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out accurate setting out and surveying for deep drainage and associated civils works.
* Work closely with the site management team to ensure works are delivered in line with project specifications and drawings.
* Manage quality control, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and technical requirements.
* Monitor progress and provide daily reports on work completed and any site issues.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team to coordinate site activities.
* Maintain accurate records of as-built surveys and project data.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in civil engineering projects, particularly with deep drainage works.
* Proficiency in using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment.
* Strong understanding of construction drawings, levels, and setting out techniques.
* Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a busy site team.
* CSCS card (essential), with SSSTS/SMSTS advantageous.
