Job Description

What you’ll be involved in:

* Managing and leading engineering teams to meet goals related to quality, cost, and timelines.
* Creating project plans to achieve objectives for new products or designs, including resource and schedule planning.
* Prioritizing schedules based on multiple factors and customer requirements.
* Planning and administering procedures and budgets.
* Networking with external contacts to achieve company and customer objectives.
* Determining critical methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinating activities.
* Handling complex, non-routine tasks requiring expertise.
* Reporting to the Head of Engineering and performing duties under limited supervision.

Areas responsible for:

* Leading subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines and policies.
* Managing engineering resources to ensure high-quality products and services.
* Supervising technicians, assemblers, operators, and administrative staff as needed.
* Ensuring departmental goals are met within budget and quality standards.
* Interacting with peer groups and external contacts for information exchange.
* Determining work schedules, resource allocation, and resolving problems.
* Driving process improvements and developing standard operating procedures.
* Liaising with project stakeholders to monitor progress.
* Preparing reports for senior management and HR.
* Identifying obstacles and proposing solutions to achieve business goals.
* Preparing budget recommendations for equipment and team development.
* Engaging with management and external partners at various levels.

What we're looking for in you:

* Experience leading diverse engineering teams in highly technical areas, preferably RF/electronic product design and manufacturing.
* Experience with systems engineering approaches in product development, especially in defense sectors.
* Degree/MSc/PhD in Engineering or related fields, ideally Electronics.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.
* Experience with formal product development and delivery processes like NPI.
