West Calder High School seeks to appoint two highly motivated Pupil Support Workers to join our support team. The successful candidates will have the experience necessary to help realize the school's vision and support our students.
West Calder High School is a non-denominational comprehensive school offering a progressive, relevant, challenging, and enjoyable curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We are dedicated to engaging students in their learning and ensuring all have access to a high-quality educational experience. The current student roll is approximately 1160.

Pupil support workers are expected to work towards a minimum qualification within five years of appointment, such as SVQ2 (SCQF Level 6) or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before a formal offer of employment is made by West Lothian Council.
