We are recruiting for a Clinical Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients. The post is based at the Lister Hospital and will include a rotation to all sites within the Trust (except Mount Vernon).

The department houses state-of-the-art CT scanners (2 x 3T and 1.5T MR scanners), 16 ultrasound rooms, fluoroscopy, DEXA, nuclear medicine, angiography, and general radiology units.

The post holder will prepare treatment areas at the beginning of clinical imaging sessions and equipment relevant to the examination. You will support radiographic staff in a range of diagnostic procedures and examinations. Patients may present with conditions that include unconsciousness, uncooperativeness, or disabilities. The successful candidate will assist in special investigations and intervention procedures, perform patient monitoring, and have a working knowledge of specialised equipment.
You will explain examination procedures to patients and provide reassurance. You will also assist consultant radiologists during specialised procedures, involving preparation of sterile trolleys using aseptic techniques, specimen slide preparation, and accurate documentation.
