Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join their established team at their Newcastle site, supporting high-speed manufacturing operations on a rotating shift basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all critical process control parameters are maintained within specification
* Take appropriate and timely actions to ensure the delivery of high-quality finished products to customers
* Identify and analyse high-risk activities, trends, and events within the production process
* Work proactively with manufacturing teams, using data-driven insights and personal initiative
* Act as a central point of contact for customer-related and plant quality issues
* Support quality standards across multiple work areas, working flexibly where safety and competence allow
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Proven experience in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing environment
* Background in high-speed production environments
* Strong knowledge of ISO standards, SPC (Statistical Process Control), HACCP, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
* Confident using data, systems, spreadsheets, and databases to support quality decisions
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline

* A strong team player with a commercial mindset
* Self-motivated, methodical, and systematic in approach to problem-solving
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support change
* Demonstrates leadership qualities and an ability to support continuous improvement initiatives
