The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Officer will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst managing and supporting a Finance Assistant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Preparation of monthly managementacounts
* Ownership of month-end processes and reporting
* Budget preparation, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting
* VAT returns and financial compliance activities
* Presenting financial information to the CEO andBoard
* Supporting fundraising initiatives through financial reporting and analysis
* Managing and supporting the Finance Assistant
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and stronger financial controls
* Helping address an existing finance backlog and ensuring finance operations run efficiently

1. What You'll Bring
* Strong management accounting experience
* Experience producing month-end management accounts
* Budgeting and forecasting experience
* VAT experience would be advantageous
* Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
