Key Responsibilities
* Child Development: Childcare practitioners support the physical, emotional, and educational development of children. They create and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning and growth.
* Safety and Welfare: Ensuring the safety and well-being of children is paramount. Practitioners supervise children during activities, maintain a clean environment, and adhere to safeguarding policies.
* Communication with Parents: Regularly updating parents about their child's progress and any concerns is a vital part of the role. Practitioners maintain detailed records of each child's development.
* Educational Support: They help children develop core skills such as literacy and numeracy through engaging activities like reading and counting games.
* Personal Care: For younger children, practitioners assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, changing nappies, and toilet training
* Level 2/3 childcare qualification (minimum) or equivalent or Play work qualification
* Safeguarding Certificate
* Knowledge and understanding of child development
* Paediatric First Aid certificate
