Manufacturing Systems Integration Specialist (Automation) - Derby/Hybrid - Full Time
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Systems Integration Specialist, based out of Derby but with global accountability. At Rolls-Royce, we are developing our current adoption and future strategic requirements for integrated digital and physical solutions, including extending the use of automation in the business.
This role will play a pivotal part in shaping this strategy, setting standards and policies to ensure that current and future Cyber-Physical Systems are compliant in terms of safety, cyber-security, and business outcomes.

Responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining Cyber-Physical Systems policies and standards supporting business objectives and compliance requirements.
* Setting Manufacturing Engineering Technology Strategy, acting as Level 2 curator for Manufacturing and Digital capabilities, and aligning strategic roadmaps and funding bids.
* Establishing relationships with strategic procurement to support scheme approvals and future supplier relationships, including integration supplier selection.
* Collaborating with business leaders, process specialists, and IT teams to identify and prioritize data and system initiatives that add business value.
* Mentoring engineers involved in manufacturing automation and IT systems, ensuring talent development and succession planning.
* Managing knowledge, standards, and best practices in a globally accessible environment, including training solutions.
* Representing the company externally to share knowledge and drive improvements in Cyber-Physical capabilities.
* Acting as an ambassador in technology development processes such as C2, TRL, DMIP, PILM, and IPPR/PPAP environments.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proven experience in developing and implementing Cyber-Physical Systems.
* Knowledge of physical automation solutions across various process applications.
* Understanding of Manufacturing Operations Management (MoM) systems and integration techniques.
* Familiarity with data governance, quality management, and integration techniques.
* Experience with process control systems such as Robot and Novel programming methods.
* Knowledge of OT/IT technologies like CNC/PLC, system architectures, and field bus communication.
* Awareness of cybersecurity risks and mitigation in automation systems.
* Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Familiarity with frameworks like TOGAF is a plus.
