Teacher of Biology
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of Science with expertise in Biology? Do you have a passion for inspiring the next generation? We are seeking a dynamic Biology Teacher to work at client Secondary Schools in York, starting in September 2025.
Teacher of Biology Responsibilities:
* Deliver Biology lessons that cater to different learning styles in accordance with the AQA curriculum.
* Creating hands-on experiments and interactive activities to make learning come alive.
* Providing individualized support and guidance to students, helping them excel in their studies.
* Establish and enforce classroom rules, manage student behavior, and ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere for learning.
* Design assessments, quizzes, tests, and projects to evaluate students' understanding of Biology concepts.
Teacher of Biology requirements:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status, with UK-based teaching experience.
* Hold a relevant Degree at 2:1 or higher.
* Have recent classroom teaching experience in teaching Biology, in-line with the AQA curriculum.
* A deep passion for Biology and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
