As Site Sustainability Advisor Lead, you will be the primary point of contact for all sustainability matters on the Sizewell C site. You will lead a team of advisors, engage directly with contractors, engineers, and delivery partners, and oversee the implementation of the project's Sustainability Strategy at a ground level. Your work will directly support the delivery of key objectives around carbon reduction, resource efficiency, circular economy principles, biodiversity, and social value. You'll also be instrumental in identifying opportunities for innovation, improving performance through data, and ensuring the project meets both regulatory and corporate expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Degree-qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Significant experience in a senior sustainability role within a major infrastructure or construction environment.
3. Deep knowledge of UK environmental legislation, sustainable construction standards, and reporting frameworks.
4. Proven ability to influence and lead in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
5. Experience managing or mentoring a team of professionals.
6. Comfortable working in a dynamic, site-based environment with evolving priorities.
7. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA, CIWEM, ICE) is desirable.
8. Strong data and reporting skills, with experience using digital tools to track and analyse environmental performance.
