Role purpose
In this new and exciting role you will use yourextensive experience, in similar roles, to manage the Bank’sincreasing loan portfolio of bespoke property-backed loans includingBuy to Let, Investment Loans/Commercial Mortgages and Bridgingfacilities.
As a senior member of thePortfolio Management team, you will report directly to the Head ofPortfolio Management with typical duties including (but not limitedto) the following:
* Ensure allloans are fully performing and achieve a satisfactory redemption bytracking loan performance and raising early warning signs oropportunities within the loan portfolio.
* Assist withredemption strategies, reporting of key performance metrics andcommercial decisioning within the role.
* Continuous monitoringof loan performance & interest collection (arrears), ensuring loansare compliant with their contractual agreements, preparing reports forsenior management, undertaking audits of data quality and being apoint of contact for Customers throughout the life of a loan.
* Assist the risk and front-line relationship teams throughoutthe Collections process to ensure customers supported appropriatelyand Business Support Policy is followed.
* Using yourexperience to manage Watch and Recovery customer relationships whilstdemonstrating a range of recovery and restructuring techniques acrossthe portfolio to reduce risks and realign portfolios to risk appetite.
* Working collaboratively and constructively with others inrisk and front-line relationship teams to ensure mutual satisfactionand continued growth whilst able to demonstrate independence.
* Continual implementation, maintaining and improving relevantsystems & Policies.
Skills andexperience:
The ideal individual forthis role will have extensive experience of loan servicing ormanagement within the commercial real estate sector. You will be ableto demonstrate success in a role whereby you have managed live loanspost funding and worked to support the ongoing performance anddelivery of redemptions. Experience of the oversight of junior staffmembers would be advantageous though not essential. The idealcandidate will have proven experience in the following:
* Property loan servicing and management.
* Highlyorganised with an excellent attention to detail and comfortablecommunicating with Customers on all loan-related matters includingthose in distressed circumstances.
* Understanding credit risk,collections and workout activities across financial services andspecialist property banking.
* Working in a team with theability to influence outcomes.
* Good awareness of regulatoryframeworks including Conduct and Compliance requirements.
* Proven analytical skills with a strong working knowledge ofrisk control systems, processes and reporting.
* Evidence ofthe ability to communicate effectively and support both risk andfront-line relationship teams.
* Evidence of balanced andindependent judgement with a proven ability to drive change.
* Strong financial acumen and expertise in project finance,risk management, and financial modelling, Loan & Debt servicing.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects.
